The Galerie de l'Ancienne Poste
The Galerie de l’Ancienne Poste was founded in 1997 by a group of ceramicists and collectors. Since its inception, the gallery has worked to promote the contemporary and artistic image of ceramics by regularly inviting well-known ceramicists to exhibit their latest creations in Toucy, in the Burgundy region of France.
Situated in a unique XVII century town house, the gallery organises six to seven exhibitions a year,showing works of both prestigious and emerging artists. The Galerie de l’Ancienne Poste’s permanent collection houses a selection of works by international and national artists who have strongly influenced the path of the gallery since its creation.
Today, with some 9,000 visitors a year, the Galerie de l’Ancienne Poste is among the major venues in France for the exhibition of contemporary ceramics.
